For some food is a means to stay alive, for some it’s a way to handle stress, for some it’s a way of life and for other’s, like me, it’s a passion!
I love to cook! I love to eat! In fact, I often say I run so I can eat. However, you can’t have a great exercise plan without a proper nutrition plan.
Eating and food is one of the most important things you do on a daily basis. What you eat, how you eat and how you manage the food you eat is essential in how you will feel, how you will look and how well you will exercise.
I certainly am not perfect when it comes to my food choices, but I am careful about what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat. I have a philosophy, eat a little bit all the time and it will prevent you from overeating at any one time. I can easily tell what days I didn’t have my snacks at my desk all day because when I get home at night, I raid the refrigerator. Have you ever felt this way?
Do you eat when you’re hungry? Do you eat because there is food in front of you? Do you eat because you can?
The key is to eat when you are hungry!
Our goal at Get Fit Families is to teach you how to eat. That probably sounds funny. We all know how to eat, but we all don’t know how to eat properly.
We will give you tips on how often to eat. For example, my eating plan consists of the following…
- First Breakfast
- Second Breakfast
- First Lunch
- Second Lunch
Yes! I have about 8 small meals a day. My largest meals in the day are usually my first breakfast and dinner. My body constantly needs fuel, but giving it the right fuel is what’s most important.
