You've been training for months for your first triathlon or you might be a seasoned triathlete who always seems to bonk on the run. You've done the workouts, you feel so confident going into your race knowing you're ready for anything that comes your way. You get to the race, you have a great swim and bike but when it's all said and done, you fall apart on the run.

Get Fit Families has an official USA Triathlon Club now. This is a National Club that will include my athletes from Ohio, New York, South Carolina and of course Pennsylvania.
As a USTA club, we will receive discounts for races, receive additional training materials, and we will be eligible to compete at Club Nationals in Myrtle Beach in October. The Club Nationals will take place at the same time as the Long Course Nationals Lisa Myers and I qualified for last year at the Beach 2 Battleship Ironman.
The Club Nationals include a Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlon and all members of the Get Fit Families Club will be eligible to register. Registrants will have to pay for their own entry fees, travel and accommodations, but it will be a great opportunity to show off our club to others.
If you're interested in becoming a member of the club, please let me know. You can also go to the USTA website club page at the following link http://www.usatriathlon.org/pages/1103 and register for the Get Fit Families club.
I look forward to a great season of Triathlons and getting our club off the ground. |

The Muskoka 1/2 Ironman
I want to thank Bill Peace for convincing me to run this race. It was by far the toughest 1/2 Ironman I've ever done, but it was a lot of fun and fantastic training race for me.
